Five-Minute Cask Assessment Checklist
A cask is a commercial asset only when the liquid, documentation, condition, measurement and route to market support one another. These ten questions are a fast first filter, not a substitute for full due diligence.

- Where and when was it produced and filled?
- What has the cask held?
- What are the latest volume, ABV and LPA?
- Can identity and ownership be reconciled?
- What charges or restrictions exist?
- Has it been sampled?
- Who is the likely buyer?
- What work is required before sale?
- What evidence supports the value?
