For Commercial Buyers

Buy Irish whiskey casks for commercial use.

Cask-specific sourcing for independent bottlers, blenders, brand owners, importers and distributors.

Individual casks, cask parcels and mature stock held under bond — sourced from distilleries, commercial counterparties and private holders, supported where available by current regauge information, ownership documents and warehouse confirmation, and matched confidentially to qualified commercial buyers.

Celtica may act as commercial adviser, intermediary, buyer or seller depending on the engagement. Its role, commercial interest and remuneration are disclosed before work begins.

This page and its enquiry route are for commercial buyers. Celtica does not sell casks to private investors or accept personal cask-investment buying mandates. Individuals considering or holding an investment cask should instead review the Irish whiskey cask valuation guidance.

Who buys through Celtica

Independent bottlers building or extending a range; blenders and brand owners securing mature liquid; importers and distributors developing an Irish whiskey position; and commercial buyers seeking specific ages, cask types or spirit categories. Requirements at bulk scale — tankered liquid, large parcels and private-label programmes — run through Celtica's broader whiskey sourcing service; this page is the route for cask-specific buying.

Why many suitable casks are not publicly marketed

Mature Irish stock often changes hands privately. Warehouse arrangements, insolvency processes and commercial sensitivity mean many suitable parcels are not advertised publicly. Registering a requirement allows Celtica to assess and match suitable opportunities as they arise, rather than publishing a public stock list.

What the commercial review covers

An opportunity is not presented solely on a seller's description. Before it reaches a registered buyer, Celtica reviews the available fill records, spirit category, current regauge information, ownership documents and warehouse details. This is a commercial document review, not a legal opinion on title.

The current regauge records bulk litres, ABV and LPA — the figures that help determine yield and pricing. Buyers can review how LPA and cask yield are calculated and how Irish whiskey casks are valued. The review helps the buyer assess the commercial evidence, specification and pricing basis before deciding whether to proceed.

How buying works

Register the requirement: spirit category, age range, cask types, volume, intended use and timing. Celtica confirms what can realistically be matched and presents suitable opportunities confidentially as they arise — under NDA where appropriate. Where the warehouse and transaction documents permit, completion may occur by transfer within the warehouse records or by duty-suspended movement to the buyer's facility, with sampling and completion terms agreed in writing first. Buyers planning larger-scale supply can also review buying bulk Irish whiskey for bottling or private label.

This page describes a commercial sourcing service for trade buyers. It is not investment, legal, tax or financial advice; availability, specification and pricing are confirmed per transaction and nothing here guarantees supply or price.
